Curtain tracks are typically installed across the entire width of the room. In this case, measure the distance from wall to wall to determine the length of your track. If the track is to be mounted above a window rather than across the entire room, use the width of the window as a starting point and add 70 cm (for two single-width curtains) or 140 cm (for two double-width curtains). A simple rule is that a single-width curtain drawn to the side of the window drapes approximately 35 cm, while a double-width curtain takes up about 70 cm when gathered.
